Dream for a moment

I have heard that these blogs are meant to be read....I know I have been slack in my writing even more so than usual as of late. Perhaps it is due to the fact that I don't think my life is interesting at times, and I do not have the ability that some have to see beauty and words come out of every situation.
But forget all the deep and philosophical excuses, its all the fault of the finals week, which ended (yes!!) today. Oh the studying, the headaches, the equations to memorize, the sweating of blood over the research papers...all students know what I mean by this. Strange how reality gets in the way of life. But now I have a few short weeks to relax...and dream for a while. I dream of what my life will be like in a few years, of saving the world one surgery at a time. I dream about medical school, of how much harder I will be forced to apply myself. I dream of next semester. I dream of other worlds and far-off places.
I do not only dream of the future and other lands, but also of the present and where I am right now. I dream of making the world a better place right here and now in any way I can.
I also reflect on the past, of seeing the hand of a loving God in my life.
It is during these moments that I see what a beautiful life God has given to me...not through anything I have done...but because of His unexplainable and unwarranted love and grace, He has touched my life and allowed me to serve Him, and He has allowed me a future in the service of Himself.
Dream for a moment.
