Travel Adventures with Carmen....nah, not catchy..
Due to the encouragement of Chris, Nancy, and especially my little sister Lauren, I'm going to try that whole travel host thing. I'm trekking up to Columbia this weekend, and i've got the camera ready. We'll see if i can do a little documentary. And maybe I'll do a little travelling in my mind, too. We shall see. What to name my show/book/ whatever?

ah travel ... how do i love thee?!!
hmmm.. i like christine's idea! it's a great book title, but for a show, something shorter is in order.. how 'bout "must get out"? (yes, a cheap steal from maroon5- "this city's made us crazy & we must get out!" i swear i have that line in my head all the time )
lol ... that wasn't my suggestion of a book title!!! lol! i was just expressing my own overwhelming appreciation for the passtime.
"well, why don't you marry it?!"
hmm ... maybe i will!
yeah, i didn't so much think you were suggesting, but i thought it'd be a fun title, none the less!
Glad someone got a good laugh!
Where in the World is Carmen ... um ... [insert last name here]?
Come on, it'd be fun!
Christine, I do believe I'm in more danger of marrying my pastime than you! I like the "must get out"...that's usually why i pack up and go. But my theme song can be "where in the world is carmen sandiego". Dunno, might have some copyright infrngements if i named my show "where in the world is carmen".
nah ... the theme song and matching title choice is too cliche ... and SOOOOO '90s.
Oh come on, there's something timeless about having Rockapella doing a theme for you! Course, you're right, it's been done.
... perhaps something like "Back Later" or "Please Forward My Mail" or "Gone Travelling" ... the beauty of it being that you can come up with all sorts of fun graphics.
Out of curiosity, do you prefer a suitcase or a backpack for your main luggage? I've always wanted to try travelling on a plane with my backpack (like, the camping variety) and haven't yet.
No, there won't be any carmen sandiego...i was teased enough as a child. I have to introduce myself as "carmen, like the opera" in hopes of avoiding the sandiego jokes. And i travel with a leather messenger bag.
Ah, I gocha. No Carmen Sandiego it is. I was often called "Christopher Columbus" or "Christopher Robin" and hated them both, so I totally get what you're throwing.
But the opera - that's clever.
